the end of a rainbow.

I've been considering the correlation between the absence of the "end" of a rainbow and the unfulfilled search for my mother's engagement ring.

Greek mythology provides a link between gold and rainbows, whilst Irish tradition asserts that a pot of gold is to be found at the end of a rainbow.  This place is impossible to reach, because the rainbow is an optical effect which depends on the location of the viewer.

It is the connection between this fictional location and the futile hunt for the lost ring which leads me to the pictured intervention; placing gold at the end of a rainbow.  It's quite nice that the "gold" I am using is actually bronze.  It hopefully highlights my continual failed attempts during my quest for gold/my mother's engagement ring.
